Weekly Kids Ministry at RVCC
Sunday Mornings
The 1st Sunday of every month is "Family Worship Day." All children remain in the worship service with their families. We believe this is an important time for kids to learn to worship, see their parents studying the Bible, see their church family praying together, and hear our pastors preach from God's Word. There is a family sitting room equipped with a speaker located at the back of the sanctuary if you should need to sit somewhere else with your child.
All other Sundays of the month, we offer a class for children ages 4 years - 1st grade* (Little Kids Church) during our second service only at 10:45. Sign-in your child in at the table all the way down the hallway, to the left. Our Little Kids enjoy a time of coloring, music, reading, watching an animated Bible story, crafting, and playing games during the entire second service.
Big Kids Church is for kids in 1st - 6th grades*. These big kids remain in the Sunday service with their families for the first half, then leave with their teachers for the second half of the service (sermon) and are picked up by their parents in the OC building after church. We also offer classes specifically for these children during the week (more information below). Please check-in your child for this class before the service starts at the Big Kids Check-In Booth in the foyer (pictured below).
*1st graders have the option of attend either Little Kids Church or Big Kids Church based on their maturity level and parental preference. 6th graders are considered "youth group" students but some continue to attend Kids Church on Sundays for their 6th grade year.
