Dave worked for Salt River Project in the Valley before starting his real estate career in 1991. Then in 1995, he founded and became Designated Broker of Dave Barber Realty, Inc. which he still manages today. He enjoys playing the guitar, hunting and fishing, and doing just about anything outdoors.
The Barbers have been actively involved in various lay ministry throughout the Phoenix area for all of their adult life. However, it was in 2012 at the children’s summer camp they have been involved with for 24 years that Dave felt God calling him to something more! He immediately enrolled at Gateway Seminary – Arizona Campus, and was ordained into the Gospel Ministry by Star Valley Baptist Church in 2014.
Mick and his wife Kristin were called to serve in Star Valley, AZ in February, 2017 and made the move in March. Mick feels called to work with youth and young adults and teach them Biblical values and foundations that will encourage them in their walks with the Lord.
Mick was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky and attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington where he studied Spanish. He served as a campus ministries director through his church in Lexington for several years before meeting Kristin and marrying in 2015. Mick and Kristin have two children, Shay and Annie.
Kristin began ministering as a worship leader at Rim View Community Church in March, 2017 and as church administrator in January, 2020. She has served as a volunteer worship leader at many different churches and camps since she was in high school. Kristin loves leading the Body of Christ into worship that enables them to connect with God in deep, personal ways.
Kristin was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Arizona State University where she studied elementary education. She served as a 4th grade teacher in Glendale before moving to the Dominican Republic as a missionary for two years. After she met and married her husband, Mick, she moved to Kentucky where their son, Shay, was born in 2016. Their daughter Annie joined the family in Payson in 2017.
